Terms of use and posting rules

These terms apply to everyone who uses DesiListing. By browsing the site, creating an account or posting an ad, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

What we do, and don't do

DesiListing is a platform that lets people publish ads and contact each other. We are not a party to any deal, job, rental, marriage proposal or sale arranged through the site. We don't employ the advertisers, own the items, or check every detail of every ad. Any arrangement is strictly between the people involved.

Your account

• You must be at least 18 years old.
• Give accurate information and keep your password safe. You are responsible for activity on your account.
• One person, one account. Don't create accounts to get around limits or a ban.

Posting rules

• Ads must be genuine, in the right category and area, and about a real item, service, job or need.
• Use your own photos and text. Don't copy other people's ads or photos.
• Post each item once. Repeated or duplicate ads will be removed.
• Show a real price or choose "Price on request". Misleading prices are not allowed.
• Matrimonial profiles must be posted by the person themselves or their family, with their consent, and must be truthful.

Not allowed

The following will be removed, and the account may be banned:

• Anything illegal under the laws of Kuwait, including alcohol, drugs, weapons and counterfeit goods.
• Selling, buying or trading visas or residency, or charging job seekers fees for jobs.
• Fraud, scams, pyramid schemes, or requests for money or documents in advance.
• Adult content, escort or massage services of a sexual nature.
• Hate, harassment, or content that insults any religion, nationality or community.
• Other people's personal details posted without their permission.
• Spam, links to unrelated websites, or ads for competing classified sites.

Moderation

We review ads before they go live and may edit, refuse or remove any ad, or suspend any account, at our discretion, for example when an ad breaks these rules or is reported by users. Ads expire automatically after their listing period; you can renew them from My account.

Stay safe

• Meet in a public place and inspect items before paying.
• Never send money, deposits or copies of your passport or civil ID to someone you haven't met.
• Genuine employers in Kuwait don't charge you for a job or a visa.
• Report suspicious ads using Report this ad, or contact us.

Your content

You keep ownership of what you post. By posting, you allow us to display, store and promote your ad on this site and in our channels (for example, sharing a listing on our WhatsApp channel). You confirm you have the right to post the text and photos.

Paid placements

Featured and top listings, and banner advertising, are clearly labelled. Paid placements still have to follow these rules. Banner advertising is arranged by separate agreement; see Advertise with us.

No guarantees and limitation of liability

The site is provided "as is". We don't guarantee that ads are accurate, that advertisers are who they say they are, or that the site will always be available. To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from ads, from contact between users, or from use of the site.

Changes

We may change these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version.
